I just can't leave this alone! I know it will only be another 3 months before I redo it again, but till that time arrives, here is the latest version for all to enjoy (you can also see the previous version).

"Past The Tree" has always been a personal favourite of mine. I've tried to capture a moment in time when the meaning, purpose and obligations of life have no impact on ones mind.

Enjoy, and as always, let me know how you think (and how it makes you feel).

Woah! I love this, its visually stunning! Really liking the added water, think it works really well, you have amazing choice in colours, everything is really sleek.

Getting the 'four elements' feel from this due to the tree, water and the colours rising could be flames. and I would love to see perhaps a green and blue variation? Just to explore a different mood.

Seriously though, good job! Wish I had your eye for colour choice :)

I think a green + blue variation would be quite nice as well. I tried it before by changing the hue's but it doesn't turn out as nice -- gets very polarised. I'm definitely going to have to re-create it with different colours in mind!

I'm glad that's how you feel; I really wanted people to look at the scene and wish they could walk into it.

Incredible effect. From the thumbnail I thought it was a fractal.

Beautiful piece, the colours you used on it looks amazing and the water looks great.

The colours almost make it seem like that girl is looking out to a big fire or like StriderWG said, some huge concert.

I'd love to know, what program did you use to make this?

Except not really.

It was mostly Photoshop. The girl vector I made from a silhouette photo using, and the water effects from a Redfield plug-in called "Flood". The tree was from an earlier composition, and was made using ContextFree and another persons code; though I'm not sure who.

You captured that moment very well, although the red hues might have an unsettling effect on some people *points to self*. I guess it just takes a bit of quiet observation/contemplation to feel the message of the picture...
