Past The Tree is one of the silhouette projects which I just can't leave alone. I recently upgraded my RAM, so I went about giving some of my old projects a face-lift. Even though the original file was only 1600x6000px large, it would cause havoc with my old setup. At least now I can give it the face-lift I think it deserves.
The "Past The Tree's" project was named "Australian Auara" during development (typo intended), after a WikiCommons photo of a similar night-scape which was the inspiration for the project.

the stream of colors are beautiful, and especially since they are highlighted by the black which overlaps it to show the sillouetts. simple and lovely!
I really appreciate the hues you used in this, and I REALLY like the way you made the tree. The whole setting is very balanced, and I really like the energetic pensiveness feeling it gives me.
The only thing I could suggest is, perhaps, not use so much of the photoshop brush tool, and perhaps create your own grass instead. I know it's very time consuming, and frustrating if you don't have a tablet, but it will look a lot more original that way.
Thanks for your comment, I'm glad you find the piece well balanced and feel an energetic vibe from it. Keeping everything minimalistic yet lively was what I was trying to accomplish
The photoshop grass brush is rather easily identifiable. It has always been something I've been wary of, but never got around to fixing. I will of course have a look at producing a unique design now that some else has noticed it. Cheers
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
